Terms of Use

01Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Announce ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Knottolike Crafts ("we", "us", "our").

02About the App

Announce is a scheduled bell and announcement platform for schools and institutions. It lets authorised users schedule audio bells, record and broadcast announcements, and play live audio over connected devices.

03Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or have verifiable parental or institutional consent.
  • The App is intended for organisational use. Administrators are responsible for all activity under their account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

04Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
  • Broadcast content that is harmful, abusive, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, devices, or institutional systems.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission.

05Audio Content & Recordings

You retain full ownership of any audio you record or create within the App. Announce is a fully offline application — all recordings are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to broadcast any content, including music or third-party material.

We have no access to your recordings at any time. All audio data remains on your device and under your control.

06Privacy

Announce does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The App functions entirely offline and has no connection to our servers.

The only data we receive is standard analytics provided by Apple App Store and Google Play Console (e.g. crash reports, download counts). This data is aggregated, anonymised, and governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies — not ours.

07Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and built-in sound assets are owned by or licensed to Knottolike Crafts. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you. You may not use our branding without written consent.

08Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Use of scheduled announcements for safety-critical purposes (e.g. emergency alerts) must always have a manual backup. Reliance on the App alone for emergencies is at your own risk.

09Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Knottolike Crafts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App — including missed bells, broadcast failures, or loss of data. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections 07, 08, and 09 survive termination.

11Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
